Daxiaodongtian (Big and Small Caves) is located 40 km west of Sanya. First built in the South Song Dynasty in 1187, it is the tourist attraction with the longest history in Hainan Province. As a scenic spot of Taoism at the southern most tip of China, it is one of the first national 5A scenic spots.
