The largest tropical orchid theme park- Sanya Orchid World – is located in Tianya Town in west of Sanya. It is close by the Hainan West Line Expressway to the south and next to the Sanya Sunrise International Golf Field to the northwest. The park enjoys convenient transportation, as it is only 30 km from downtown Sanya and about 20 km from the Sanya Phoenix International Airport. The theme park is also close to other major tourist attractions in Sanya, such as Nanshan Temple, DaXiaoDongTian (Big and Small Caves), TianYaHaiJiao, etc.

Sanya Orchid World Theme Park covers an area of around 26 hectares, one third of which has orchids. It is designed according to the standards of a national 5A-class tourism site, integrating leisure, sightseeing, ecological education, orchid displays and decorations, and food specialties. The park is designed in the style of classic Chinese garden, while combining some elements of Southeast Asian gardens.
