The farmer’s market, a tradition in the city, is popular among foodies. At the Berg’s Bazaar, you can find 100 per cent fresh, high-quality produce grown and prepared by Latvian farmers. Farmers and home-producers from all regions of Latvia offer a wide selection of food products - homemade bread, smoked fish and meats, different cheeses, jams, pickled vegetables, and confections.
You can buy fresh milk, pork, beef, chicken or rabbit meat, and everything else you need to prepare them.
The Berg’s Bazaar has local craftsmen selling products specially for urban dwellers - fashion accessories, jewellery, children’s toys, and cosmetics, like creams, oils, scrubs, soap, etc. homemade from natural ingredients.
A market traditionally has been a place for brokering deals, meeting people, and enjoying entertainment. Today’s market reveals people’s mentality and traditions, making it of great interest to travelers and tourists.
