First performance in La Scala as an absolute interpretation of Milan's charm

The opera house in La Scala, Milan is the most famous in the world and a must-see for music lovers.

Every year since 1951, on December 7, Milan's Patron Saint Ambrose Day, the La Scala opera house begins its season. This year's opening night, a new production of Giacomo Puccini's "Tosca", a revised version by Roger Parker, is arguably one of the most important moments in international opera.

After "Tosca", the opera season continues with special productions of Italian repertory from the 19th to the 20th century (Pengieri, Montmezzi, Giordano, Verdi and Rossini), French and German operas from the baroque period, and Nono and Schoenberg operas from the 20th century. During the symphony season, music director Ricardo Shay will pay a special tribute to Beethoven's 250th birthday.
