Hong Kong Beats Beijing and Shanghai in the Most Popular Asian Destinations

MasterCard recently published the first index report of Asia-Pacific destinations, which shows that Hong Kong is still the most popular tourist destination in Greater China.

In 2015, totally 8.3 million foreign tourists stayed in Hong Kong for more than one night, which brought HKD 52.18 billion to Hong Kong’s economy. Hong Kong beats Beijing and Shanghai on every index in the report. For example, Beijing received 4 million tourists during the year 2014 to 2015, and Hong Kong corresponding number is two times of Beijing.
