Zhangjiajie’s Lantern Festival Celebration Presents Multi-ethnic Carnival

On February 22, China’s Lantern Festival, people living around Yongding District, Zhangjiajie flocked to town early in the morning to see the street performances of Lantern Festival. In Yongding, Lantern Festival is more popular than the eve of lunar New Year and lunar New Year’s Day. People there have been busily preparing for Lantern Festival before Spring Festival.

This year’s multi-ethnic Lantern Festival carnival included nearly 4,000 folk artists and more than 100 performing groups going performing in the streets voluntarily. The street performances attracted nearly 300,000 local people and tourists.
