Albania aims to attract 10 million tourists by 2025, the Albanian Minister of Tourism and Environment Blendi Klosi declared on Thursday on World Tourism Day.
According to Klosi, the Albanian government has a tourism development plan which will focus on four main directions related to co-operation with local government, service improvement, investment in infrastructure and marketing.
Official data from the National Institute of Statistics show that up to now during the month of September, Albania has received 606,000 tourists, about 31 percent more compared to the same period last year, according to Klosi.
