Visitors loaded with luggage and nowhere to go can now take advantage of a new service at Ala Moana Center.
Transportation service Roberts Hawaii this month launched a private lounge at the shopping and dining complex, including luggage storage.
The lounge is for anyone using Roberts Hawaii airport shuttle services who either arrives with ample time prior to hotel check-in or those required to check out of their accommodations well before their departure. The stopover at Ala Moana Center, which features more than 350 stores and 160 dining options, is included with the shuttle service to Honolulu Airport.
"Guests looking for a way to enjoy a few hours while they wait to check in to their hotel or catch their flight is a common situation," Roy Pfund, president and COO of Roberts Hawaii, said in a statement. "Our Visitor Concierge Services is designed to do two things: give our guests an opportunity to shop, dine and be entertained while at the same time reduce the logistical hassles associated with driving, storing luggage and wanting a place to just sit back and relax."
The new Visitor Concierge Services lounge opened Aug. 13 on the street level of Ala Moana Center's Ewa Wing and offers personal lockers, complimentary WiFi and concierge services. For guests with a reservation on Roberts Hawaii's airport-Waikiki shuttle, there's no additional cost to use the Visitor Concierge Services. Prices for Roberts Hawaii's shuttle transportation between the airport and Waikiki begin at $17 per person.
People already at the Ala Moana Center can use the lounge as well, and shuttle transportation from the shopping center to either Waikiki or Honolulu Airport starts at $10 per person.
