【Introduction】:The South Pacific island of Vanuatu will become the location of Royal Caribbean s second Perfect Day resort.

The South Pacific island of Vanuatu will become the location of Royal Caribbean's second Perfect Day resort.

In announcing the Perfect Day at Lelepa, Royal Caribbean did not give a timetable for its development.

The first in a series of Perfect Day resorts opened over the summer at Royal Caribbean's private Bahamian island, CocoCay. At least four more are planned.

Royal Caribbean said development would proceed in partnership with the island's government and "showcase the distinct natural ecological beauty and diverse local culture of the island nation as well as provide employment and education opportunities."

In making the announcement, Royal Caribbean International president Michael Bayley said, "Anyone who has encountered the tremendous natural beauty of Lelepa can understand why it is the perfect setting for Perfect Day. Our guests who travel to the South Pacific are seeking authentic adventures and genuine relaxation, and they will find both here."

Vanuatu is about 1,000 miles east of Australia. Until independence in 1980, it was known as New Hebrides and was managed under joint British and French custody.

The Perfect Day at Lelepa will be billed as the first carbon-neutral private cruise destination. Australia-based Cox Architecture will serve as the lead architect on the project.
