An international exhibition-fair of goods for sports and outdoor activities was held in the German city of Hanover. In its work, along with 800 travel companies, tour operators, hotels and airlines from more than 70 countries, representatives of Uzbekistan also took part, Dunyo reported.
Tourism Fair "ABF" is one of the major international tourism events in Central Europe. It was visited by more than 100 thousand people, almost a quarter of whom are experts in the field of tourism.
The objects of exhibiting at the exhibition are traditionally sporting goods, automobiles, mobile trailer wagons, boats, items for water sports and accessories for tourism.
The event also hosts special thematic events, seminars, lectures and entertainment programs aimed at introducing the peculiarities of cultures and traditions of different nations. Brochures, guides, booklets and videos are distributed here that reveal the wide possibilities of the tourism potential of the countries of the world.
The current fair was held under the motto “Charming Asia”, presenting the sights of the Asian continent as the main trend tourist destination.
The tourism potential of Uzbekistan at the exhibition was presented by a number of large domestic and foreign travel companies - Doca Tours, Geograf Exkursionen and others, whose stands were visited by thousands of visitors during the exhibition. They familiarized themselves with detailed information about the possibilities of the tourism industry of Uzbekistan, watched videos telling about the rich historical, cultural and architectural heritage of our country, unique sights and folk art.
During the presentations, it was noted that in Uzbekistan, ecological, pilgrimage, health-improving, folklore-ethnographic, historical-architectural, cultural and educational, gastronomic, skiing and other types of tourism are developing, which attract more and more attention of travelers from all over the world.
Of great interest to visitors was the information on the introduction in Uzbekistan of a visa-free regime for German citizens from 15 January 2019, as well as about new opportunities for the country’s tourism industry.
Europeans also welcomed the practice of combining travel programs by Uzbek tour operators, in particular, visiting historical and cultural sites and ecotourism areas. Their attention was attracted by the features of agritourism, which implies living in houses in the countryside, as well as the possibility of organizing mountain tourism and helicopter rides.
