The 50 most popular ski resorts around the world, according to Instagram

A brand new study by FindTransfers Ltd, a limited company registered in England, has identified the most Instagrammed ski resorts around the world, with Whistler, Canada coming out in the top spot, with over 2.5 million posts on the site.

The study looked at over 100 of the world's top ski resorts and analysed how many times the resort had been hashtagged on Instagram, utilising the top 3 hashtags for each resort.

Following Whistler, the top 5 ranking resorts include:

Chamonix, France, #1.3million

Vail Mountain, USA, #1.1million

Lake Louise, Canada, #900k

Zermatt, Switzerland, #885k
