Els Quatre Gats

Els Quatre Gats is located in the old town. It was opened in 1897, and mainly serves Spanish cuisine. Young Picasso was a frequent visitor of this restaurant where he also held his first exhibition of paintings. But, the result was depressing, so he angrily went to Paris, which marked a new chapter of his artistic career. Today, four walls of the restaurant are covered with the work or group photos of celebrities. It can be said to be the most cultured restaurant in Barcelona.
