Erguxian Opera

Erguxian Opera, also called Erjiaxian Opera, originated in Dasima Village, Wuzhi County, and Jiaozuo City. Erguxian Opera is sung in the Huaifu dialect and usually features social stories that are close to life. This opera is very popular in Jiaozuo as well as its surrounding area for its original tune in local dialect and with rich local colors. In 2007, Erguxian opera was listed on the second batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritages in 2007.
