【Introduction】:Hangzhou tourism committee is working on the development of an O2O (online to offline) travel app, named Hangzhou Travel Passport.

In conjunction with Alibaba Group, the Hangzhou tourism committee is working on the development of an O2O (online to offline) travel app, named Hangzhou Travel Passport, which will be the first of its kind nationwide.

The app combines smart services, marketing and management and is composed of online service and offline site experience. The former will show the information of various travel agencies and help users with the search option, booking and payment of tourist products, as well as membership information maintenance. The latter will allow users to explore Hangzhou with the online payments system Alipay.

This app, despite of its name Hangzhou Travel Passport, cannot be interpreted literally. It is certainly different from a traditional entry-exit passport. It is a virtual app that is rich in the information and service of Hangzhou tourist products. If you have a travel plan in Hangzhou, why not try it?

Travel Hangzhou Passport will preliminarily provide personalized travel routes and favorable tourist packages with local seasonal tourism products. So far, the app has already attracted more than 3,000 travel agencies and covered many quality scenic areas including West Lake, the Xixi National Wetland Park and the Grand Canal.

When Hangzhou was identified as a Smart Tourism Pilot City by the National Tourism Administration in 2012, the city planned to focus on the development of four main industries, including tourism and leisure, e-commerce, cultural creativity and financial service. As a capital of China's e-commerce, Hangzhou provides favorable conditions for tourism e-commerce development due to its superior e-commerce development environment.
