BJIFF music concert to be staged in Beijing

【Introduction】:The 5th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) Concert will be held at the BPA Theatre of Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing on April 17 and 18.

The 5th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) Concert will be held at the BPA Theatre of Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing on April 17 and 18.

Two concerts, "The Centennial Classic Film Concert" and "The World-famous Works Film Concert," will be on stage.

Tian Jiaxin, a young and prominent pianist living in America, will perform the music from the film The Pianist. Chai Liang, a well-known violinist living in America, will perform the melody from Schindler's List. The world-famous tenor Ding Yi and other singers will sing soundtracks of classic films and songs from the anti-Japanese war years to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory in the war.

Soundtracks of classic films will surely take the audiences back to the past. Prominent voice actors including Tong Zirong, Xu Tao and Di Feifei will dub the films Jane Eyre, War and Peace, And Quiet Flows the Don, and Anna Karenina during the concert.

This year marks the 120th anniversary of the inception of the world film and 110th anniversary of the Chinese film.

Since 1895 when the first silent film was made in France and 1905 when the first Chinese drama film came about, the art of film has functioned as a common language for human beings across time and space.
