Chengdu launches new international flights for the summer & autumn season

The Chengdu City airports will operate several international flights to compliment the start of new flight schedules, beginning in the summer and autumn seasons of 2015.

Air China

Air China will operate its new flight schedule from Mar 29 to Oct 30. The arrival time of the new route from Kathmandu, Nepal to Chengdu has been changed from 7:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Timetables for flights from Chengdu to Yuncheng of Shanxi province, Yulin of Shaanxi province, Shantou and Guangzhou of Guangdong province, Lijiang of Yunnan province, Panzhihua and Jiuzhai of Sichuan province have been adjusted. Passengers will personally need to pay attention to the flight updates and possible changes.

Chengdu Airlines

Chengdu Airlines will open two flights beginning on Mar 29. The new routes consist of one route from Chengdu to Zunyi to Wenzhou, which operates on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and the other route of Chengdu to Zunyi to Zhuhai, which operates on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

There are three flights that will also be resumed. They are the route from Chengdu to Zhengzhou, the daily-operating route of Chengdu-Changsha-Ningbo, and the route from Chengdu to Jiuzhai that operates two times a day.

Spring Airlines

Spring Airlines will open a direct flight from Chengdu to Osaka Japan starting from March 30, with a frequency of four flights every week. The flight operates on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays to the destination of Osaka, and a return flight operates on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sundays to Chengdu.

Sichuan Airlines

Sichuan Airlines will open two international flights, one with the route travelling from Chengdu to Lhasa to Kathmandu. It will be launched on Apr 1, with a frequency of one flight every day.

The other route is a direct flight from Chengdu to Moscow, which will begin on May 2, with a frequency of three flights per week. It is southwestern China's first direct flight to Moscow and will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

In addition, Sichuan Airlines will open two direct international flights from Chengdu to Tokyo and Osaka within the same year, and several domestic flights, such as Chengdu to Dazhou to Jinjiang.

China Eastern

China Eastern will operate a new international flight, Chengdu to Nanjing to Los Angeles, on Jun 30, which will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

In addition, the three current flights every week from Chengdu to San Francisco will be changed to one flight each day by United Airlines, beginning June 6.
