Italy opens Expo Milano visa express

The Italian Consul General in Shanghai announced the formation of a special task force on March 26. The task force will be dedicated to processing visa applications from Chinese visitors during the Expo Milano 2015, according to eastday.com.

Regardless of their place of origin, Chinese residents can have their visa processed in Shanghai in 36 hours, thanks to the implementation of streamlined procedures.

Italian airline, Alitalia - the Expo's official airline - plans to open a direct route between Shanghai and Milan on May 1 and resume the Beijing-Rome direct flight by the end of the year.
