Airline from Almaty to Xi'an Opens

The first flight of Almaty-Xi'an route by Kazakhstan SCAT Airline took off from Almaty International Airport on the morning of March 10 at 10:00. The plane arrived in Xi'an after a 4-hour flight, which marked the official opening of the first air route between a Central Asia country and Xi'an.

Zhang Wei, Chinese Consul General in Almaty congratulated the opening of the flight. Denisov, SCAT Airline President said, by 2020 the number of tourists from Kazakhstan to China could reach more than 500,000 and he hopes that the two countries would take measures to further promote the cultural exchanges between the people from the two countries.

There will be one Almaty-Xi'an flight per week which departs from Almaty and arrives in Xi'an on every Thursday, and the flight returns back to Xi'an on the same day.
