2016 “Charming Summer of Harbin” Launched

On morning of June 18th, the Ceremony of 2016 “Charming Summer of Harbin” Tourist Culture Fashion Activity and the 6th Session Harbin China Songhuajiang Wetland Festival was officially launched at the south square of Harbin Theater. On the day, districts held various special activities that allow a high level of engagement from all sorts of people, creating a competitive atmosphere around the entire city. At the same time, 6 wetland scenic spots launched promotional activities to benefit people.

The event’s theme is “clear water and green mountains, ten-thousand hectare Songjing Wetland Harbin.” In the four months that run through the two seasons of summer and autumn, four key events will be held including the 6th Session Harbin China Songhuajiang Wetland Festival, 2016 Harbin China International Beer Festival, the 33rd Summer Harbin Concert, and the 5th Session Harbin China Wuhua Mt. Autumn Appreciation Festival. Also, more than a hundred activities will be held as well including mass culture activities, regional featured activities, and sports and physical fitness activities. The activities will constantly provide wonderful and impressive entertainment options that allow citizens and travelers to discover something new every day and also have new surprises to look forward to every week.

Since 2012, this event has been running constantly for four years, “Charming Summer of Harbin” has been recognized as the city’s title in summer. Before this event was created, people only knew Harbin as the “Ice City,” after the success of the event Harbin is now known as the “Summer Palace.” Through this event, Harbin now has tourism attractions whole year round, from summer to winter.
