Jakarta Tourist Visit Rate Declines by 19.09 Percent

The rate of tourist visit to Jakarta in June 2016 was lower compared to May 2016. The rate is calculated from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, and Tanjung Priok Port.

Dody Rudyanto, Head Division of Distribution Statistic for Jakarta Statistic Center Board (BPS), said tourist visit rate in June was 156,326 people, in May was 193,208 people.

“The rate declined by 19.09 percent in June compared to May. It’s also caused by fasting month,” he said, Tuesday (8/2).

He added that hotel occupancy rate also declined by 4.54 point or 53.06 percent in June and 57.60 percent in May.

“Averagely, our guest spent their night in hotel by 1.62 day in June or 0.32 day lower compared to May by 1.94 day,” he closed.
