The spectacular New Year’s Day Parade returns to London on January 1, 2017 this New Year’s Day.
The 2017 parade is themed ‘Lights, Camera, Action’, featuring film and TV-themed displays and performances, with huge balloons, music and confetti filling the air.
With more than 8,000 performers representing the London boroughs and countries from across the globe, this fantastic event attracts around 500,000 spectators and live television broadcasts in the UK and abroad.
Every year, dancers, acrobats, cheerleaders, marching bands, historic vehicles and more assemble in the heart of the capital for a colourful celebration of contemporary performances and traditional pomp and ceremony.
Catch the festivities along the parade route, which runs from Green Park Tube station at 12pm, to Parliament Square at around 3.30pm, via Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall.
