From July 2nd-5th, Quito will host the 2017 edition of Connections Meetings in a bid to strengthen the city's position as a leading MICE destination.
Connections Meetings will bring together up to 80 leaders from the meetings travel industry, as well as MICE buyers from all over the world to do business and to discuss trends and challenges facing the market place.
Buyers attending the event represent key and emerging luxury travel markets (including the US, Brazil) and reflect the region in which the event is located.
This three day exclusive event is a great opportunity for buyers to engage and create business opportunities with 30-40 leading worldwide suppliers who represent the best companies in luxury travel around the globe; these include airlines, hotels, private jet and yacht charters, cruise lines and destinations such as Latin Trails, Pure Travel Group, Cuenca Municipal Tourism Board and Stella Maris Luxury Yacht.
The event will feature seminars, panel discussions and debates with speakers sharing their strategic plans for their businesses.
Previous speakers have included Ken Segall, former creative director of Apple; Ewan Macleod, entrepreneur and leading mobile technology expert; and Anna Bjurstam, vice president of spas and wellness Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.
Participants will also take part in activities, meetings and a number of networking opportunities.
The upcoming Connections Meetings will be held in the heart of Quito's old town offering an innovative, focused and fruitful platform for senior executives to build powerful and personal relationships in business.
Quito has already been the host of world-renowned conventions such as The United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III), which took place in September 2016.
