Hj Ab Rahim Bin Md Junoh, Chief Executive Officer of the Putrajaya Tourism Board at the Sanya Resident and Visitor Information Center.

On July 6th, 2017, the Sanya-Putrajaya tourism exchange seminar was held between the Sanya Tourism Development Commission and a Putrajaya delegation led by Mr. Ir. Hj Ab Rahim Bin Md Junoh, Chief Executive Officer of the Putrajaya Tourism Board at the Sanya Resident and Visitor Information Center.
During the meeting, Tang Sixian, Consulting Director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, delivered an overview to the delegation regarding Sanya’s tourism environment, preferential policies, and industrial development.
The two sides exchanged ideas on tourism marketing and discussed possibilities in tourism cooperation that could benefit both regions.
The Putrajaya delegation visited the Sanya Resident and Visitor Information Center. Mr. Tang Sisian, Consulting Director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, introduced the latest delevelopments of Sanya’s tourism industry to the Malaysian guests.

Officials from the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, and representatives from the Sanya Tourism Association and some local travel enterprises attended the meeting.
Putrajaya, an “Intelligent Garden City” and the federal administrative capital of Malaysia, is a showcase city under construction some 30 km south of the capital Kuala Lumpur.
Putrajaya covers a vast sprawl of over 4,900 hectares, which were mostly palm plantations before the federal government purchased the lot from the surrounding state of Selangor.
Putrajaya was designed to be the nation’s pride, an ‘intelligent garden city’ that is well-planned, aesthetically pleasing, environmentally friendly, and with many green.
In 2015, the population of Putrajaya was 88,300, among which is 97.4% Muslim, 0.9% Christian and 0.4% Buddhist.
