Ice Sculptures Festival in St. Petersburg

The ice sculpture festival ICE FANTASY-2018 has begun to receive visitors on Saturday, December 23. The Peter and Paul Fortress will meet its guests with works of sculptors created from 180 tons of ice.

A team of Russian sculptors who are prizewinners of international exhibitions, festivals and shows in Belgium, France, Germany, Canada, Taiwan, China, turned tons of crystal ice into a dreamland. There you can meet heroes of fairy tales, movies and cartoons.

The creation of sculptures took three months. Figures are not endangered by the weather, as they are under a tent with artificial cooling. Event organizers say that the works will stand up to spring.

A 7-meter long composition — the Palace Swallow's Nest will become the main attraction of the event. Such architectural masterpieces of our city as mysterious griffins - the keepers of the Bank Bridge, the mighty Atlanteans of the Hermitage and Ice House will also take a special place at the festival.

According to the organizers, ICE FANTASY - 2018 will work 7 days a week from 10.00 to 22.00.
