Tianjin is moving ahead actively towards the development goal of "one base, three districts". On its way to reality preferential development and leading development, a strong economy support is an essential condition, as well as a well-developed traffic network extending in all directions. At present, as one of the links connecting the developments of Tianjin and Binhai, Metro Line 9 becomes more and more important.

Metro Line 9 (Binhai Mass Transit) was built from January 18th, 2001. As an important track line connecting central downtown and Binhai New Area, it plays an important role on communication and cooperation between them. Dongxing Road Station -- Tianjin No.2 Workers Cultural Palace

Tianjin No.2 Workers Cultural Palace (Ergong for short) was built in 1952. Located in Hedong District, it is the largest comprehensive landscape style workers cultural palace of Tianjin, covering an area of 24.1ha. Exercising double public welfare functions of workers cultural palace and garden, it holds up many memorials of old Tianjin people. After being reconstructed, Red Leaf Island and Taohua Island were elevated by increasing mound; large quantities of cedrela were planted on Red Leaf Island, thus citizens no longer need to go to Xiangshan Mountain, Beijing, to appreciate beautiful red leaves. The former memorial of yachting on Ergong Lake also comes true again.

Binhai Cultural Center is a landmark cultural projection of Binhai New Area located in the Central Business District of Binhai New Area.
