The United States does not charge federal consumption tax, so there is no national tax reimbursement policy. Marked price is usually exclusive of tax, you may consult the sales staff for the price after taxes.

In the United States, almost all the services provided for individuals are expected to be tipped. Without tipping, it means you are extremely unsatisfied with one's service. In restaurants, you should tip 15% of the total meal's amount (except for fast food, buffet, or to the bill that states already included Gratuity).

It is prohibited to smoke in buildings, public transportation, public areas and most interior buildings. Please pay attention to the warning signs.

Please note that there are differences in local traffic laws. U.S. police officers usually patrol in cars, so please obey traffic rules wherever you are. Because all the police officers are equipped with guns, when in need to communicate with officers, do as they instruct, do avoid making any sudden movement, especially avoid of putting your hand to your jacket pocket, always show your hands outside to the officers to avoid any misunderstanding. If you hear "freeze" or "stop," which means to stop immediately, make sure you do so. If there are communication difficulties, you can tell the police "I do not speak English," they will try to resolve the issue.
