【Introduction】:In addition to the embassy in Beijing, Japan has Consulate General in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chongqing, Qingdao, Hong Kong, and has an office in Dalian.
The U.S. Consulate General Sapporo promotes close ties between the United States and northern Japan. The Consulate consists of Consular, Political, Economic, Commercial, Public Affairs and Management Sections. For more information, please review each section’s page.
Open to the Public: 9 a.m.-12 noon, 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
(Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese and American Holidays.)
All non-emergency U.S. citizen services are provided by appointment only. To make or cancel an appointment for passports, reports of birth or notarial services (Sapporo), please click here.
Note: For notarial services, please select “Schedule an appointment for any passport services …” and write “Notarial service requested” in the “Name of non-applicant …” field in your request. Currently no slots are utilized for “Schedule an appointment for notarial services.”
