On December 21th, 2007, Latvia joined the Schengen Zone along with Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. People with Visas issued by Schengen States can travel freely in Schengen Zone unless there is special announcement in the Visa.
