Barcelona belongs to Catalonia region and the official language is Catalan. General signs are written in two languages, Catalan and Spanish, and the former is above. Sometimes you may encounter a situation that passers only know Catalan.

Spanish daily lunch is at 2:00 PM in the afternoon, and supper is at 9:00 PM in the evening. Most restaurants do not serve meals in non-dinner time, and then you can consider visiting various mini-bar selling Tapas. Moreover, 14:00-17:00 is lunch break, and most shops will be closed at this time.
