Summer and autumn are the best time to travel in Jiaozuo which has abundant tourism resources of mountains and water. Every May to October, scenic spots such as Yuai Waterfall (located in Quanpu Gorge) and Red Stone Gorge have a large amount of water, thus creating beautiful scenery. In contrast, water level is very low in winter. You can tour Jiaozuo’s mountains and rivers on weekdays to avoid peak tourism seasons and enjoy more affordable hotel rooms.
Notices for touring Yutai Mountain:
1. Considering the large tourist crowd, you’d better book a hotel in advance when traveling on holidays and weekends.
2. On holidays, crowds of tourists appear on sightseeing coaches, at ticket-barriers and on the scenic spot. Therefore, you’d better depart early.
3. In the event of a tight schedule, you could skip Wanshan Temple and Rhesus Monkey Valley.
4. Power outage often occurs in Yuntai Mountain as a result of power shortage on Yuntai Mountain.
5. Wear water-proof clothes and non-slip shoes when you travel to Yuntai Mountain.
6. Since Yutai Mountain has a lower temperature in mornings and evenings, you’d better prepare a thin coat.
If you go on a self-driving tour, you’re advised to stop by the pavilion on the way to Zhusu Peak, so as to have the best panoramic view of Yutai Mountain.
