1. Avoid using your left hand when you are in social relations. Traditionally Malay thinks the left hand the symbol of uncleanness.

2. You should not extend your hand to ask for a handshake to a lady, also you should not point at somebody with your index finger.

3. Malay’s believe it is taboo to touch one’s head, except the teacher and religious ceremonies it is not free to touch the back of Malays.

4. It is taboo to smoke in Malaysia, do not eat pork, dead animals or animal blood. They feed on rice, glutinous rice, cakes as staple food; their eating habit is to eat with the right. When attending a social outing, dress neatly.

5. If visiting others and you must take off your shoes and put in the doorway. When visiting the church, you must pay attention that the non-muslins need to take off your shoes before entering the hall.

6. When visiting the temples, the females dress code is that they cannot exposed arms and feet. Cannot walk past the Muslim who is praying at that time.

7. Without permission it is not allowed to take photos and not allowed to touch the Koran.
