Tax refund

Switzerland does not belong to the EU, as long as leave here (either by land or by air) to the EU countries you can ask the customs to stamp for tax refund. As you depart Switzerland within 30 days with single consumption over 300 CHF then you can ask the store for tax free form. And get back the consumption tax in the Refund office of airport. The consumption tax in Switzerland is much lower (8%) than other countries in Europe, rarely tax refund, probably about 5%. Please leave a credit card number when you do tax refund, in general the money will be transferred to the account within a few weeks. The Swiss are very reliable with money. If you wish to be paid in cash, you will be refunded the full amount minus 5 Swiss francs in fees. This is the provision only in a few European airports and Zurich airport is one of them.

Tips
