Fisherman’s Bastion

Sitting high on Castle Hill on the Buda side of the Danube River, Fisherman’s Bastion was built in 1905 as part of the ongoing celebrations of the thousand-year existence of the Hungarian state.

Heroes’ Square

The square was built in 1896 to commemorate the foundation of the Hungarian nation in Europe for 1,000 years and was completed in 1929.

Liberty Bridge

The Liberty Bridge is a great bridge in Budapest, located in the southeastern part of the city center, across the Danube, connecting Buda and Pest.

Hungarian Parliament

The Parliament building, a magnificent example of Neo-Gothic architecture (although displaying Renaissance and Baroque characters too), is just over 100 years old.
