Silver Cave

It is opened to the public in 2000, and honored as one of "Guilin’s Model Tourist Scenic Spots". Dozens of scenes with special features inside the cave vividly demonstrate nature's craftsmanship; hence it's renowned as "Wonder of the World". It is named as Silver Cave because of its silver-like stalacites and stalagmites, radiating under the spotlights like diamonds and silver.

There are dozens of featured attractions in the cave. Three of them are the most famous wonders: waterfalls on the snow mountain, music stone screen, and fairyland of Jade Pool. The three treasures are: Buddha teaching the classics, pearl umbrella, and single column reaching the sky. Fairyland of Jade Pool is the most impressive. Stalacite wonders and water are reflecting on each other. Mountains and water are merging together. Their reflections are like the abyss; music stone screen is the most developed and complete set of stone screen in Guangxi at present, and the magical thing is it will play ethereal and graceful music when you tap on it (now it is forbidden to tap).

Transportation

85 km from the center of Guilin

1. By bus: (1) take the Guilin – Lipu bus at Guilin Bus Terminal and get off at Silver Cave; (2) take the tourist bus at Yangshuo to Silver Cave Scenic Area: 8:30, 9:30, 11:30, 14:30, 16:30 every day, there is round-trip tourist bus from Yangshuo to Silver Cave. The bus stop of Yangshuo is at the gate of Yangshuo Landscape Management Station, and the bus stop of Silver Cave is at the entrance of the scenic area;

2. Self-driving route: Guilin direction: Shanghai Road -- Beltway West 1st Road -- Beltway South 3rd Road – enter G321 -- G65 -- G72 -- Yangshuo -- the destination; Guangzhou direction: Guilin Beltway Expressway – Bao Mao Expressway -- leave at the exit of Yangshuo-Lipu-G321 -- towards Lipu/Gaotian direction -- G321 -- the destination;

3. Ride a bicycle: about 8 km from the Moon Mountain to Silver Cave; round-trip from Yangshuo to Silver Cave is about 40 km, the duration is about 3 hours.

Silver Cave tickets: 80 yuan (including round-trip fare to the scenic area, it’s free for children under 1.4 m); additional fees are charged for two camera points at "fairyland of Jade Pool" and "music stone screen". If you want photos as souvenir, you need to pay 25 yuan/photo. (Note: the above prices are for reference only)
