Zurich Lake is a famous Swiss glacial lake located in the northeastern part of the Swiss plateau. It extends from the city of Zurich to the southeast. The lake elevation is 406 meters above sea level. It is crescent shaped and has an extension of 29km from the southeast to northwest, 1-4km wide with an area of 88 square kilometers. The lake is very deep in the northwest, the deepest is 143 meters. The southeast portion is shallow. There are vineyards and orchards everywhere. And you can overlook the Alps towards the south.
There are many water birds in the lake; there is a sign near the lake that teach people how to recognize the water birds. The most famous and most recognizable water bird is the swan. Other water birds are grey and small, only the swan is big and white and floats on the lake. There are groups of doves and seagulls are flying in the sky sometimes and they even play with the swans in the water. Sometimes they are foraging at the lake square. If they meet the tourists who are coming to feed them, flocks of seabirds will come for the feed. The sight of men and birds interacting with each other gracefully creates a unique, tranquil scene.
