Isle of Tears

Isle of Tears is a small island in Svislach River (Свислочь) in Minsk. It is a monument dedicated to the nation’s soldiers who sacrificed themselves during the nine-year conflict involving Soviet forces in Afghanistan (1979 - 1988).
