Majorelle Museum

Majorelle Garden, a beautiful botanical garden covering 12 hectares, is also the art mecca gathering the artists of Marrakech. The garden was designed by the famous French designer Jacques Majorelle in 1930s, when Morocco was a French protected area. It was open in 1947. From 1980 on, it was owned by the French Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Birch. In 2008, after the death of Yves Saint Laurent, his ashes were scattered in Majorelle Garden. Marrakech Islamic Art Museum is in Majorelle Garden, in which there are the personal collections textile of North America, many porcelains, jewelries and paintings of Yves Saint Lauren.
