Melbourne Chinatown

The English name of Melbourne Chinatown is Little Bourke Street. The street runs from east-west and is roughly six or seven meters wide and one thousand meters long. There is a larger cross street in the middle that naturally separated into two areas, East area and West area. This location is not the Chinese residential area, but the place is for finding Chinese restaurants and shops.

There are many Chinese restaurants in Chinatown, so it is a good choice to eat authentic Chinese dishes, although it is a little bit noisy. It is a sharp contrast with the quiet Western restaurants.The most famous and the most attractive are Chinese duty-free shops on the street. Visitors can also find businesses that sell Australian products that are loved by Chinese tourists, such as wool, sheep oil, kangaroo fur, chocolate and so on. Whether it is day or night, there will be many Chinese tourists coming here to buy these products to bring them back for their own use, or send to friends and relatives. During the evening, local Australian shops closes early, only Chinese duty-free shops are open with lights, the business is booming.
