The Asian-African Conference held in Bandung in 1955 became a very important event in the history of Indonesian foreign policy. The conference became the guideline for colonial countries in fighting for their independence. It also became the fundamental principles in promoting world peace and international cooperation. On the 25th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference, the Museum was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 1980. The Museum of the Asian-African Conference has a permanent exhibition room, which shows collections of three-dimension objects and documentary photos of the Asian-African Conference 1955.
On the first floor of the conference center there are wax figures of the five initiators, separately from Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, for visitors to take photos.
