Coal Museum of China

Coal Museum of China, promoted and built by former Ministry of Coal Industry, Shanxi Provincial Committee and Government is the only national-level coal industry museum. It is also the collection center of historical relics, specimen, literature, and information of national coal industry. “A Tour to the Coal Sea” is a permanent popular science exhibition that outlines coal science and technology with the purpose of building a national first-class museum. “A Tour to the Coal Sea” makes use of modern methods to concentrate on the long Chinese coal history in the 6,000 square meters space.

Open Time: The museum is open for all year from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Ticket: RMB60 per person

Transport: Take Bus No.1, 38, 611, 809, 813, 822, 855 and 859; get off at Yingzeqiao West Station. Tourists can get in from the north gate of the museum. Besides, tourists can also take Bus No. 308, 848, 868, 618 and 863 and get off at Yingzeqiao West Station and enter the museum from the East Gate.
