Shanhua Temple, also called Southern Temple, is National Key Relics Protection Unit and is located on the southwest corner of downtown of Datong, Shanxi Province.

The Hanging Temple is located on the half of steep cliff of Golden-dragon Gorge in Heng Mountain and was built in 491 (the 15th year of Emperor Taihe of Northern Wei Dynasty).
