National Portrait Gallery

You cannot miss the National Portrait Gallery if you want to learn American history. This museum tells the stories from the colonial period to today through the portraits of the national historical celebrities of the United States. The portraits inside the museum include the portraits of poets, presidents, Utopians, villains, actors and activists. Among them, the most impressive are the portraits of the 42 presidents of the past. There are 61 artworks in total, including paintings, sculptures, and photos. This is the only place where all the previous presidents’ portraits are collected outside of the White House. Paintings of America’s prehistorical art, colonial period, the American Revolutionary War period, the early Republic time, and the Civil War period are all displayed in the museum. There are pictorial art and portrait galleries here too. In addition, there are also 3,300 artworks in the interactive exhibition rooms, public space of creative videos, and Luce Foundation Center for American Art. The spacious Victorian passage on the first floor of the museum is an ideal place to hold parties. As night falls, if seeing through the glass ceiling, you can see the stars. It is unique to hold a party of less than 1,000 people in the museum. In addition, the art galleries on the second and third floors are also places to hold private cocktail parties and other parities. On one hand, you may appreciate the artworks; on the other hand, you can passionately communicate with guests. This is a fashionable upper-class party indeed.
