Harbin Metro

Harbin plans to build nine subway lines and one loop within 20 years. Subway Line 1 went into operation in September, 2013. And Subway Line 3 phase 1 is operational.

Subway Line 1 starts from Chemical Road of Daowai District in the east to Xinjiang Street of Pingfang District, via Harbin East Railway Station, Taiping Bridge, East-West Straight Street, Xuefu Road, and Harbin South Station. It stretches for 27.3 kilometers and has 25 stations, 18 of which have been opened. As the first cold-resistant subway line in China, it can operate constantly at 38°C below zero.

There are three kinds of fares on this line: 2 yuan for 9 stations, 3 yuan for 13 stations, and 4 yuan for all the 18 stations.
