On January 29, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has begun operating the green circulation bus which stops by major tourist attractions in the city. This new bus helps to alleviate transportation difficulties in the newly designated green traffic zone which prohibits the operation of class 5 vehicles. The new bus routes connect city bus routes that visit Jongno-gu and Jung-gu.
The green circulating bus operates with a cheaper fare of 600 won and the four routes pass major attractions such as Myeong-dong, Seoul Station, Insa-dong, and Namsan Seoul Tower. In addition, transportation card users can receive up to four free transfers between the green circulation bus and other modes of public transportation. The downtown outer circle bus is the only bus that operates two courses: A course runs in a clockwise direction and B course, counterclockwise.
