【Introduction】:From November 15th to 17th, the China International Travel Mart 2019 (CITM 2019) was held in Kunming, China’s Yunnan Province. World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) has set up a stand at the CITM 2019, and distributed promotional materials including its magazine, World Tourism Cities, and its city members’ brochures that promote their their destinations.
From November 15th to 17th, the China International Travel Mart 2019 (CITM 2019) was held in Kunming, China’s Yunnan Province. The event was held by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province.

During the event, many exhibitors and participants visited the stand to get relevant information. Sascha Stange, Deputy Director, Liaison Department of WTCF, accepted the interview with iQIYI and China Tourism News. He introduced the latest academic achievement of WTCF, the Global Report on Smart Tourism in Cities. His answer has brought the frontier topic, “smart tourism” to the CITM, highlighting the guidance and the progressive nature of WTCF in the field of smart tourism. In addition, Sasha also talked about the huge potential of the Chinese outbound travel market and the developmental prospects of China's tourist destinations.

The CITM is the largest professional travel show in Asia. The event this year consisted of the opening ceremony, the tour of the exhibition halls, professional promotional events, negotiations, and the closing ceremony. The three-day event attracted 75 exhibitors from many countries and regions in the world, and over 80,000 visitors attended the exhibition. The total size of the area used in the exhibition was 90,000 square meters, with numerous stands prepared to showcase merchandise and performances. The event was also integrated with outstanding national and regional characteristics, as well as international and local features.
