The four-day 2017 WTCF International Tourist Destination (Cities) Promotion and Marketing Training Program successfully ended. All of the prepared lessons were delivered and the students gained valuable knowledge through it. On the evening of April 20th, WTCF held a graduation ceremony for the students and granted them graduation certificates.

Secretary-General Song Yu had been paying attention to and caring for the participants’ training and learning. He said, “On the basis of the training session last year, this year’s training program continues to focus on the marketing methods and channels of world tourism destinations in China’s market, China’s current outbound tourism situation and trend of development, and other important aspects our member units care for. Also, renowned experts in China’s tourism industry and senior executives of Chinese tourism companies were invited to teach the courses. Meanwhile, at the request of WTCF members, the training session this year included MICE-related content, which was aimed to better serve WTCF members in more pragmatic way. ”

Secretary-General Song Yu pointed out that the Training Program is not only an important measure for WTCF to enhance the service for its members, but also an effective platform for the embassies of various countries and cities to further understand and grasp China's tourism market. It has effectively enhanced the exchanges and cooperation between city members and institutional members. Through the training program, all the participants have deepened their communication with media organizations and travel agencies, promoted the tourism resources of their cities and countries, and inspired the idea of tourism market cooperation.

Meanwhile, Secretary-General Song Yu hoped that the participants could come up with constructive opinions and suggestions for the training program’s future progress according to the training experience. Based on this year’s training program, WTCF will learn from this training program to have better performance.

After the class learning ended, Head Teacher Wang Jian led the students to investigate in real life, including climbing the Great Wall, visiting the Drum Tower and the Palace Museum, and walking into the hutong houses to experience the authentic Beijingers’ life while touring around Nanluoguxiang. The various courses in this training program helped these students learn more about real life and approach China, Chinese people and Chinese practitioners even closer.
