Canton Tower

The tower has an impressive height of 600 meters and faces Haixinsha Island and Zhujiang New Town across the Pearl River; the Canton Tower is a new landmark for Guangzhou. The Tower has a smaller ellipse on the top, crossed with a larger ellipse below, through a counter-clockwise rotation of 135 degrees, which then twists into a “slender waist” at the half-way point in its sleek slender tower body. Visitors can enjoy great food in a revolving restaurant at 424 meters as well as the scenes of Guangzhou in the bubble tram of the horizontal ferris wheel on the open observation deck.

How to get here: take Metro Line 3 to Chigang Pagoda Station; take Bus 121, 121A, 204, Night 42 or Tourism Line 2, and get off at Chigang Pagoda Station

Features of the Canton Tower:

1. With the highest free-standing TV tower in the world: The new TV tower, which is 600 meters high, consists of a 450-meter-high body and a 150-meter-high antenna.

2. With the longest aerial ladder in the world: The aerial ladder is at a height of over 160 meters, rotating counter-wise with over 1,000 steps
