'Forever Tropical Paradise - Sanya' Promo Event Held in Hong Kong

On May 21st, 2019, a Sanya tourism promotional event was held in Hong Kong to promote the tropical seaside tourist city’s tourism resources, direct flights, featured tourism products and ethnic culture. Under the theme of “Forever Tropical Paradise – Sanya”, the event was hosted by the Sanya Tourism Culture Radio Television and Sports Bureau. More than 150 guests were in attendance at the event.

During the promotional event, Sanya’s sandy beaches, sunshine, seaside luxury hotels, seafood and traditional ethnic culture were highlighted. At the same time, emerging tourism products such as educational tours, MICE tourism, wedding tourism, TCM therapy, cruise and yachting, sailing, snorkeling, duty-free shopping were introduced to attending guests.

Mr. Tang Sixian, Consulting Director of the Sanya Tourism Culture Radio Television and Sports Bureau, said that Hong Kong has been always an important tourist source market for Sanya. More new tourism products would be brought to Hong Kong through this promotional event. At present, Sanya is vigorously pushing forward the construction of an international consumption center. The city will bring in more world-class international culture and sports events and high-end brand hotels. Sanya is looking forward to cooperating with Hong Kong on culture and tourism industries to develop “one-way and multi-station” tourism products. Mr. Tang hoped that through cooperation, the two cities could achieve a win-win situation in tourism and economic development.

Mr. Huang Jinda, President of the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong delivered a speech at the event. He said that Sanya is a popular tourism destination among Hong Kong travelers. However, the development of Sanya tourism is very fast. It requires the tourism industry of the two places to strengthen communication and exchanges in order to provide Hong Kong citizens with new and more exciting tourism products. This year, the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong will organize a tourist route inspection tour to Sanya. He hoped the two cities can form a long-term tourism culture and cooperation in the long run.

During the event, Sanya’s summer tourist products were introduced. This summer season in Sanya features a wide range of tourism products which are cost-effective, including the Blessing Tours launched by the Dongtian Park and the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, the 35th anniversary celebration of the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Spot, as well as the folk song show at the Haitang Bay Paddy Field National Park. Luxury hotels in Sanya continue to increase the supply of all-inclusive products for holiday-oriented guests during this summer season. For the Greater Sanya Tourism Circle, the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone offers favorable packages for tourists, and the 3rd Daidai Islet Beach Camping and Water-Splashing Festival at the Nanwan Monkey Island is popular among young people.Sanya is a popular destination for family travel, and wedding and honeymoon travel. Travel agencies and hotels have launched various tourism products and packages for family travel and wedding and honeymoon travel during this summer. Study tour products such as the Xisha Study Tour and Family Travel, the Meisha Vanhang Sailing Summer Camp, and the Sanya Sailing Class are popular among young people. Many hotels have launched summer packages for family travel.

At present, there are 11 direct flights flying between Sanya and Hong Kong every week. The flight time between the two cities is only one hour and a half. In 2019, Sanya will continue to develop new tourism products and build a more convenient one-stop leisure tour destination for Hong Kong tourists.
