Dr. Jin Zhun, Secretary General of the Tourism Research Centre, introduced the World Tourism Economy Trends (2019) and explained that the report follows the traditional analytical frame and gives the world tourism trend a panoramic view from the angles of globe, region, country, industry, city and seven aspects such as global tourism economy development, regional pattern changes and global tourism investment, and others. The report pointed out that the tourism economy will continue to grow slightly despite the sluggish global economy; the obvious tendency of tourism differentiation in the five major regions such as the increase in Asian market and the dropdown in European market; the leading position of Asian tourism among continentals as to investment quantity and speed; electronic payment facilitate tourism consumption upgrade; city will continue to be the main destination for in-bound tourists; and the new experience out of the six tourism destination marketing innovation strategies such as virtual technology and cooperation in the whole industrial chain.
