【Introduction】:On March 3, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 119 new cases of confirmed infections, 143 new cases of suspected infections, and 38 deaths (37 in Hubei province and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region).
On March 3, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 119 new cases of confirmed infections, 143 new cases of suspected infections, and 38 deaths (37 in Hubei province and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region). 2,652 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 6,250 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 390.
As of 24:00 on March 3, the National Health Commission had received 80,270 reports of confirmed cases and 2,981 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 49,856 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 27,433 confirmed cases (including 6,416 in serious condition) and 520 suspected cases. So far, 666,397 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 36,432 are now under medical observation.
On March 3, Hubei reported 115 new cases of confirmed infections (including 114 in Wuhan), 52 new cases of suspected infections (including 43 in Wuhan), and 37 deaths (including 31 in Wuhan). 2,389 patients were released from hospital after being cured, including 1,859 in Wuhan.
As of 24:00 on March 3, Hubei had reported 67,332 cases of confirmed infections (including 49,540 in Wuhan) and 2,871 deaths (including 2,282 in Wuhan). In all, 38,556 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 24,890 in Wuhan. There still remained 25,905 confirmed cases (including 22,368 in Wuhan), with 6,232 in serious condition (including 5,723 in Wuhan), and 340 suspected cases (including 234 in Wuhan).
As of 24:00 on March 3, 152 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 100 in Hong Kong (2 had been dead and 37 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 10 in Macao (9 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 42 in Taiwan (1 had been dead and 12 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
